What’s The Difference?

Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators that relax the targeted muscle to soften lines from everyday expression. Botox takes about 5-7 days to start working and lasts around four months. Dysport has a faster 1-3 day onset and lasts closer to three months, and it uses roughly twice the units of Botox, which is reflected in the price per unit.   • These products are FDA approved to improve horizontal forehead lines, frown lines/11’s (glabellar lines between the brows), and smile lines around the eyes (crow’s feet).

  • The average4Botox and Dysport application lasts 4-6 months.

  • The following instructions are recommended to achieve optimal results and limit complications.

    • No rubbing or massaging areas injected for 4-6 hours

    • No laying down flat for 4-6 hours

    • No exercise for the rest of the day following injection

    Many patients experience small “ant bite” marks after injection that last about 10 minutes. Simply lightly apply concealer over the injection sites if you need to cover them.

  • Consultations with treatment typically take 30 minutes. Treatments alone, usually only takes about 15 minutes. Appointments are usually scheduled for 30 minutes to allow for adequate consult time.

  • There is very minimal discomfort during treatment. It feels like little pin pricks at each injection site.
